And that was November. Can't believe it's the 2nd of December. Time flies around here and I love it.
I think I've found a new way to live here. I enjoy life. I enjoy small and daily things and most of all I feel calm. Ipod in the morning and couple jump steps when crossing the road. Evening with food, music and a dark Dijon night. And I've also surprised myself completely with this life of mine here as well. Completely.
November came and went and snow arrived. Frosty weather and snow. When the first snow came down, I was baking traditional finnish buns 'korvapuusteja' and listening to one of my favorite finnish artists. I went out, watched the falling snow and I realised that I've never been anywhere else during this time. The first time I didn't see the first snow in Finland. I felt like a small child excited about snow. It feels so like home now.

Toison d'Or shopping mall
Christmassy things arrived to the stores ages ago. I thought this would be like all the Christmasses before. I don't really like the hazzle and hate stores full of Christmas crap. But here, I'm super excited. I went to a shopping mall one Saturday here and just wondered between Christmas ornament shelves. We've been planning Christmas dinner with Gerli for ages already. I love this city during Christmas. It is absolutely beautiful!

And snow covers the yard of Maret as well
I've been over-excited about the oven. I cook and/or bake something actually every day. Last Sunday I woke up around half past one and spent couple of hours in the kitchen before waking up the actual residents of the house. It was a Sunday brunch around 4pm with blue cheese and potato omelettes, maple syrup apple pie, vanilla sauce (directly from Finland!), some fruits and coffee. A perfect lazy Sunday.
And the perfect lazy Sunday continued with a dinner. Tarragon mustard and brie cheese filled chicken breasts in the oven marinated in honey and herbs. Oven potatoes on top and then some maple syrup apple pie with a hint of Jack Daniels and vanilla ice cream. So good.
Student life?

2nd of December and a frosty morning sun.
Well well.. The last couple of weeks are ahead. Tough ones have to say. Christmas holiday won't be just dancing on the roses. It will be work work work as well. I still can't wait! Next Sunday all the first years go to Brussels for three days. And on next week's Saturday I will be off to London for a long weekend! I'm gonna see both of those cities in beautiful Christmas lights and in London I will finally see my dear dear friends from Finland. I've truly missed them.
And then in two and half weeks just before Christmas, I'll be in Paris and fly via Madrid (where I have somewhat 6hs to spend..) to Casablanca, Morocco, to spend the Christmas. So on top of London and Brussels, I'll see Paris and Madrid in Christmas lights and feeling!
And then.. 28th my birthday and my lovely symbiosis creature will set her feet on France for the first time. It's New Year celebrations as well.
The spring has turned out to be busy already. We booked the tickets to Ireland ages ago. So that 8 day trip waits in January (it's going to be madly cheap there at that time! thank you financial crisis!). Then we have a school trip to Kiev in the beginning of March.
On Monday night about 4am in the morning we got an awesome idea with a friend. This french is a huge fan of Copenhagen and now we found tickets to Copenhagen with 58€ for March.. And we booked them. We're gonna do a long weekend there in a design hotel we found in a ridiculous price! http://www.hotelfox.dk/ I'm so excited about this! This was the awesomest and stupidest idea ever at the same time.
I'm so ultimately glad I worked hard last summer. Now I don't have to worry that much and I can actually travel. And in the centre of Europe, this is all way too easy and cheap! I'm really tempted to spend Valentine's Day weekend in Italy.. To both, Florence and Venice, a back and forward straight train from Dijon is only 70€.. If not this spring.. I will find a time for that, I promise.
Christmassy warm hugs from the mustard city!
