| Ultimate Dijon Sunday |
Indeed a lot has happened in a month. Sometimes it feels like I can't keep up with this all. On the other hand time passes fast and (hopefully) soon I will realize I survived from the first semester and from the first year. It's indeed a lot of work here. And this is supposed to be the easiest semester and only the beginning of it.
My dear dear estonian friend and I try to learn to live in this new culture. I'm so glad we found each other here because I love spending time with her. And also if needed, I can just babble my bubble language and she even understands.
I think I've mentioned before as well that there is absolutely nothing you can do on Sundays. Sundays are here only for studying, thinking, movies and random hanging around. Ella visited Dijon two weeks ago and on that weekend after she had left, we felt just sad and Sunday-ish. So we decided to pay a visit to the movie theater around the corner with Gerli. It's one of the two theater here that shows also foreign movies with subtitles(!). Movies 3,5€ on a Sunday?? Never heard of that before. We took cookies and a huge white blanket to the movies. There were about 5 persons with us two. Just imagine the most retro movie theater with big, warm red and comfy chairs where they play french chansons before the film starts. No Star Wars soundtracks - Edit Piaf and her friends. And the french film, let just say, it was ultimately French. Artistic and well.. french.
Perfect Sunday.
I'm glad we've got to know some extremely nice people from the second year. A week ago we went to a concert by the Divine Comedy aka. Neil Hannon. Lovelovelove. He is a funny guy. An alcoholic if you ask me. An artist indeed. You might know his song - Come Home Billy Bird.

After watching a drunk british guy speaking English to French people and singing beautiful songs, you just need to have red wine and listen to vinyls. We've by the way done that a lot during the last month. Our two friends got themselves a house this year and we've spent countless times just lying on big yellow sofas 'till morning hours drinking red wine, listening to vinyls by the old classics like Beatles, Blondie, Cat Stevens, Edit Piaf and talking. The house itself is meant for these kind of nights. It's a mix of 60's and 80's. We have had also a small Tarantino phase going on. Quality music, wine and movies. What else could you possibly need to relax?
Something French people are very famous of - strikes. Our mission was on our French class to go and talk with them to practice our french. It was hilarious I think. We walked with the huge mass of people (seriously I never saw the beginning or end of the parade) that was screaming, shouting, playing music and waving all kinds of signs. From high school people to old people - everyone was there. Definitely a very French experience.

| Friday night in Dijon |
Have I mentioned we have quite intensive FLE weeks? For example last week we had 22hs of FLE. So maybe at some point I will speak that language fluently!
Then we had a small project for FLE. We needed to do a presentation in French about our evocations on France. This photo was part of the project.

Yesterday we had Soirée Speed-Dating with scpo people. Interesting and tiring indeed. But I spoke French almost the whole time. Getting there.. slowly.
